The Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Over 50,000 Americans of my generation died in the Vietnam War and that does not count those that died from corollary causes of the war. I went to the memorial today and watched as people walked by the Wall. Two things struck, this is still a difficult walk for me because of all those names; two, based on watching others, I am not sure the Vietnam War is part of our American heritage anymore. How quickly we forget...

Too sad but beautiful
The photo of the hands is just fabulous! So touching! So meaningful to those of us who haven't forgotten.
