A friend and I drove out to Waterford for a walkabout. I wasn't quite sure what to expect...what we found was a quaint village in "Hunt Country" that was filled with large and sometimes old houses from the 19th century. There wasn't a real "town" that is, there were not many shops. There was a Post Office and two or three churches and perhaps a "Map Store," but we didn't see other activities of commerce. It was quiet...really quiet. Except for this rooster that was standing on a bench on the front porch looking as if he wanted to get into the house! Many vineyards. Many. Cloudy day...perfect.
