A friend and I did a quick walkabout in Old Town Alexandria yesterday. We visited the Art League in the Torpedo Factory and then the docks. Because of the really nice weather...over 70 degrees...lots of folks were also walking about. Of course, high noon is typically the worst light of the day to shoot photos but the high contrasts also offer black and white opportunities that might not otherwise be there. The harsh reflection on the red metal roof caught my attention and sort of cried for a black and white conversion. I am reminded that this is also allergy season.
