Fog

February 25, 2018  •  Leave a Comment

I was up and so thought I'd head out for a sunrise shoot...but was met by fog as soon as I opened the door. And, it was a dense fog and that led me to take the back roads to Alexandria. I get a little nervous about drivers who believe fog makes you special and invulnerable. The fog had started to lift by the time I got to the Potomac. I walked around the docks a bit and got these shots close to the south end of the "walk" area. My hip was not happy at all with my exercise. It was a gloomy morning and my hip matched the moroseness of the atmosphere.

This first shot is the excavation for a new building of high end condos. The condo office building will be in the two story dark building which was the original port management building. The taller, lighter building is the new hotel which is actually a couple of years old now. This entire area is being renovated, just a short time ago, the USCGC Eagle docked here...I am not sure what's going to happen to the docks.
