Upside Down

Yesterday I "Masked Up" and went out with a friend to Ballston in Arlington. T'was a bit warm although not miserably so. I was particularly uninspired and so only made a couple/three dozen shutter snaps. When I looked at the images at home, I was not disappointed in my anticipated disappointment. However, I thought to myself, "There must be something here!" Another friend has been experimenting with double exposures creating gossamer-like images that exude emotion and tenderness. Well, I knew I'd get nothing tender shooting at high noon in a glass city but I thought the double exposure thing might have merit for this set of images. I chose not to get too cosmic with the effects and so only did a vertical flip and then a color/light blend of the layers. I ended up with sci-fi like images that made me smile. And...isn't that what art is all about.
