One of the hidden jewels of Northern Virginia is Green Spring Gardens. Hidden away close to the intersection of the Little River Turnpike and Braddock Road, this place is a sanctuary of beauty, quiet, and natural wonder. Visiting their website will give you details, I want to give an overview and an idea of what's waiting for you. Flowers, trees, shrubs, ponds, waterfall, a greenhouse, historic building, library, a gift store and more. But, most importantly, the peace and beauty of the grounds. There are concrete paths, gravel paths, and trails through the woods that enable you to immerse yourself in the experience. The images in this post and the gallery in the Projects section of this website only touch the surface of what you can find at Green Spring. They are closed for the pandemic but the trails are open. You may be able to find parking along the entrance drive to the park or next to the Salvation Army building on Little River Turnpike. Consider a donation or even joining the Friends of Green Spring (FROGS).  If you want to see the gallery for these images, click here!!

I was a member of an art group of photographers that was selected last year to exhibit at Green Spring during July 2020. Sadly, the exhibit will not go on since the Gardens may remain closed because of the pandemic, hence this gallery! Others in the group may also have images posted here. I will change this page as they add their Green Spring images!! Susan Sanders, her IG ID @susan365dias, an award winning street photographer from the group, ventured into the Gardens and found the images right below my slideshow. Another notable photographer, Tana Ebbole finds many of her images on her morning walks with her dog but made those after Susan's sans puppy! Tana's IG ID is @tanaebbole.
